The reason why I'm going to say buying certified refurbished on the Apple website is because you get what you pay for. You're guaranteed to have official parts including the battery and display. In addition you'll be able to add AppleCare and moreover, AppleCare Theft and Loss which is by far a better option to the dismal carrier insurance offerings. Being able to walk into a store for an appointment and pay $29 to repair a cracked screen is always a better option over a $250 deductible. More on reddit.com

The 14 is brand new and costs EUR620.
The 13 Pro Max is EUR 550 and refurbished (Amazon claims condition is "excellent").
The 13 PM comes with Amazon's 1 year warranty which is pretty good since they're so easy to deal with.
I feel much better about having a NEW phone, BUT I feel like the benefits of the 13 PM are hard to resist.
For me the most important stuff is how battery life, charging speeds, and a bigger screen. I'm currently testing the 14 and battery life is fine, as is charging speed, but it's only fine, plus I'm not a massive phone user. I just like it to be solid, ready to go and reliable when I do need to use it. Right now screen feels a bit too cramped and battery life is on the edge of being annoying, but not quite.
I don't really care about camera improvement or even 120hz (though that's a nice to have).
However I've never really used a 13 PM, so will the improvements I expect be significant enough to warrant a refurb device?
