How does Swappa pick our Trade-in partners?
How and when do I get paid through the Swappa Trade-In Program?
How do I trade in my device?
New customer on Experience More w/ Military plan. Currently have an iPhone 14 Pro that I'm looking to trade in for either a 16 or 17 (underwhelmed by the event yesterday, so may go with a 16).
The back glass on my iPhone 14 is cracked (not shattered, but more than just a little scratch). When I try to trade it in at Apple, the website says that because the back glass is broken, that I can only recycle the phone with Apple. However, if I try to trade in via T-Mobile, it's not asking about the back glass (only the front) and says that I'll get a $230 value + $400 bonus value for trading in my phone with them.
This seems like a no brainer, right? Essentially getting an extra $630 for my iPhone 14 Pro? Is there something I'm missing?
I’ve also heard that if I trade in at a Costco kiosk, I’ll get an additional $100 gift card and the activation fee waived?
Hey y’all this topic probably gets spammed a lot and I’m confused by the various posts so I’ll just give you my situation and hope for the best.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro 128gb that I owe $200 on, I’m on Go5G Plus and want to preorder and upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro 128gb.
Called T-Mobile, they are offering $830 for my phone with their iPhone promotion. However, old phone needs to be paid off before preorder.
Looked at the Apple “Pre” Preorder and was wondering how different it was from going with T-Mobile because some of the language was confusing.
Apple is offering $800 total. $380 from Instant Trade in - so the phone goes down to $620. Then they mention T-Mobile provides $420 in 24 monthly credits. Leaving the $200 balance.
Now what Im confused about is if I have a balance on my iPhone 14 Pro what is my best option? Do I need to pay the phone off before doing the apple trade in? I have the means to pay it off and want to, just want to make sure I’m doing it in the right order. Which route is better for my situation, the Apple trade in or T-Mobile trade in? Thanks in advance y’all!
Edit: Solved! Did the Apple “Pre” Pre Order. I will continue receiving monthly credits until they run out and the phone is paid off, and this new iPhone 16 pro EIP will just be on top of it. Comes out to $14 a month with all promos and credits for both EIP, and will be $8 after 6 months so not bad.
Apple don’t care about your T-Mobile EIP and credits should continue after Apple trade in if you don’t pay your balance for 14 Pro
Apple doesn’t require it to be paid off, so go through Apple. Phone will come unlocked as well and you get most of your credits upfront with the instant trade value.
