Hello guys. iPhone 13 Pro Max was the last iPhone i used and i had to ditch it because 120 hz was a joke there and lots of third party apps did not support it. So I moved back to Android waiting for things to change.
I thought when iPhone 14 Pro Max will be out most of third party apps will support 120 hz and it's processor or iOS will be optimized to use it better withing system. But I got used to Pixel phones and skipped iPhone 14 Pro Max as well.
Now when iPhone 15 Pro Max is out I decided to try to get back to Apple phones. I was sure that things got better on iPhone 14 Pro Max and maybe even better on 15 Pro Max. But i just found post about iPhone 14 Pro Max and it seems nothing really changed from 13 Pro Max. Still 80-90 hz in most system apps and same thing or even worse in most 3rd party apps.
Is this still true? Even on 15 Pro Max? I saw some comments that iOS 17 changes this, but would like some confirmation from people that know what i am talking about. Or maybe Apple added some settings to force 120 hz everywhere? Can't find anything about this. Would appreciate any info.

Almost immediately noticed some animations in Apollo being smoother, like the collapse comment animation. Scrolling seems the same

Hey! Galaxy Note 10+ owner here, and been really considering switching to apple and Iphone 15 pro. Two biggest reasons for my change would be 120 Hz screen and a smaller phone in general. So my question is,how is the "promotion" on Iphone 15 pro with the latest updates? I did some research and apparently not all apps run with 120hz and in general the refresh rate changes a lot to conserve battery. I would prefer my next phone to run at 120hz pretty much all the time. So any info would be apperciated. How is the refresh rate on social media, general scrolling, news reading, videos, gaming etc. Thanks in advance!
