Deposit 100k at wealthsimple…. iPhone 17 price isn’t going to “drop significantly” once iPhone 18 drops. It has never happened and it won’t this time. You either wait for the latest technology or you buy it now and enjoy your new phone

I found a way better deal by focusing on the service cost. I bought my iphone 17 unlocked and immediately used Red Pocket's Black Friday port in promo which is only $5 for the first three months. That saved me enough to feel great about the phone purchase and I get a plan with 50GB of data that still runs at 150Mbps after the premium data is used
