There's a plate with trilobe screws that has a space below it with cables that need to lay down flush. It took a bit but I actually had to put the plate back a little bit misaligned to fit the cables. Not sure if that's your issue but it definitely helped me. Sorry if I'm not describing it well. My opinion is a bit biased since I am an iPhone OEM LCD refurbisher. A refurbished OG screen is the way to go.

You can check the vendor list for some reputable vendors. Very few people are going to have true OEM screens. Typically if you want high quality you want OEM refurbished screens that have the same LCD portion but an aftermarket glass. The LCD portion is where 90% of the quality of the screen comes from so in many cases not even Apple can tell the difference between a good refurbed screen and a true original. Problem is less reputable sellers will say theirs is refurbed to make an extra buck selling you a cheap screen and the reputable vendors don't always advertise if the screen is a refurb one or not. Luckily the good ones will let you call and you can ask them the difference between the screens you're trying to order. A few reps from good vendors hang out in the discord chat so you can always hop on there and ask a few of them at the same time. Personally with all the IC problems I've been getting with them, I wouldn't recommend it. Only if you want to sell it. $70 isn't bad for the price in the USA or Canada. But like I said with those issues I've seen. I would upgrade it to at least an 8. Here in mexico I charge $50 for the refurbished screen. IC problems can be fixed for $45 as well.
