If you have a Mac download Coconut battery or 3Utools if you have a PC, they’ll give you some insight on battery conditions and number of charging cycles. 85% is not normal at all for a new battery, anything below 95% points to faulty or used battery. It might as well be that the battery installed is not readable by the OS and what you see is the old battery data that has been replaced. Battery health at 85%. Is that good enough for another year? Or should I upgrade now? : r/iPhone12Pro
October 14, 2023 - Will be compatible with any future iPhone you get as well ... Get another battery. ... I was in the exact same situation. I had a 12 Pro since launch day in 2020 and it still worked great besides the battery life had really declined. My battery health was at 85%. I didn’t mind charging it overnight and then once halfway through my day as I have a desk job but when I’m not working and doing things where I can’t be connected to an outlet, I would have to worry about the battery lasting.

If you don't go through your entire battery every day, charge primarily using lower power adapters, and so on, you might be able to go for three years before the battery health ends up at 80%. If you're really trying to take care of your battery, maybe you can get the wear down to 5% per year. I used my previous iPhone X for roughly ... More on forums.macrumors.com
