I have an iPhone 14 Plus which has "HX/A" regional code and has Russian (RU), Greek (EL) and English (EN) languages on the back. I can't seem to find "HX/A" code on any of the websites. Is it some kind of a new regional code?

Hello, I'm having an issue that annoys me a bit. I live in a country with a different country code than my sim contract (eu roaming laws FTW). So each time I have to call a number, I need to add the country code at the start. But often, on websites and via message, people shares their contact without the code, and when I tap on the number, the iPhone tries to call without it. Then, adding the code is a bit of a hassle: I need to either type it by hand or cancel the call, go to "recents", press the little i next to the number I was calling, and from that page the iPhone magically added the country code automatically, and if I tap the "call" button, this time it calls with the full number (with country code). My wife's android, instead, simply has a pop up when calling saying something like "this number is from a different country from your sim, do you want to add country code?" And that's it, way faster than my option. So I ask, does anyone knows a way to have something more user friendly to have automatically added country code? Cheers.

Heyy, I had the same issue and actually ended up building an App to solve this headache, it's super useful especially when moving countries, you can easily add country codes to all contacts as well as merge duplicates etc.. It's called Easy Contacts Fixer, IOS Link , Android Link . Wrote an Article about it also if you want more info :D, Hope this helps :)

u/Tolteko , normally you edit your contacts in your PC/Mac or access your icloud contacts and edit them via a Webbrowser and there you can add the country code, for example: +49-XXXXXX-XXXXXX For Germany, just replace the correct country code for each contact and save. Once you've completed all the changes: if you've updated your contacts in your PC/Mac, then run a full sync with your device or if you login to icloud and update your contacts there directly, then your iphone will update those contacts automatically (same happens if you use google contacts and/or any other online service provider that allows you to save your contacts to their online service.
