I did a little price comparison of the iPhone X prices around the world by converting the local prices to USD including adjustments for local sales tax/VAT.
It turns out the the Hungarians Swedes will have to pay the most if they wish to purchase the phone outright, a whopping $1,466 $1,444 (64 GB) or $1,686 $1,657 (256 GB). That's a price difference of over $400 for the 256 GB version. In general, Europe have the highest prices in USD terms, which can partly be explained by higher sales tax/VAT.
Some of the "cheapest" countries to buy the phone would be the US, Hong Kong and Japan, with the US being the cheapest while HK and JP are about 30 bucks more.
If you're interested there are a few graphs here that will show more detail:

EDIT:
-
Fixed Czechoslovakia, so now the graph reads Czech Republic.

Added Hungary to the graph, and dethroned Sweden at the infamous spot as the most expensive iPhone X.
