Am I the only one who never gets to a customer service rep with Bank of America in under 5 mins? For the last year and a half everytime I call them I'm on hold waiting on a rep for like 15/20 mins every single time. Are they short staffed or too greedy to hire more employees? I rarely have issues with this but this is starting to get annoying. They also don't have 24/7 customer service. Like all this other banks. Yesterday I called Wells Fargo a far worst bank and I get a rep in less than 2 mins almost everytime. I called at like 2 am yesterday. Same with me opening a schwab account last night I called them right after Wells Fargo and got a rep in less than 2 minutes. Bank of America needs to step it up. And yes, I have two bank accounts Wells & BOA & brokerage account!!

Some companies prioritize calls based on customer status. Maybe BoA does that. With that said, little need to call a bank these days. The 24/7 support some banks offer is fine for basic issues, such as logging in, getting a balance, technical issue, reporting fraud, etc. Ideally, for most matters, generally best to call during regular business hours. Since BoA isn't meeting your needs, take your business elsewhere. Closing account entirely or don't use it for anything important or urgent.

BoA just froze my debit card. I know why, because I purchased a drink at a random corner store. Anyhow, I've called every number I can find for the past 5 hours...nothing. All I get is "we are closed".
How do I get to a person. I have no money, I'm going to need to get home eventually. I'm currently stranded. There has to be a number. They can't just freeze your account without anyway for you to get it unfrozen right?
