For locations with auto supplies- buy those. The markups are always huge at proper auto parts stores. The cream the older people are hoarding is probably a lotion for diabetics. Dollar stores are staples for caregivers, many of whom pay out of their own pockets for some of their long term house bound clients. For Nannys and day care providers- buy up the stencils, art supplies and crafts items. You can keep kids busy for days with those.

I never had any buying experience with Discountshop, but I'd assume that they're a grey dealer. What I'd usually do is take note of their prices and check with trusted dealers (e.g., Exquisite Timepieces , Hodinkee/WoS) if they could come close to it.
