I know this is an older post but thanks for posting it. I’ve had a trampoline lost in limbo for six days (on/off the truck, no attempted delivery) and I bet my neighbors were getting a kick out of me yelling at the automated voice on speaker and it kept saying “I won’t connect you to a representative, call back when you want more help” (or something like that)… 9 times (also couldn’t get my tracking right no matter if I said it or typed it lol) and then hanging up on me!
More on reddit.comI work night shift for a company that ships with FedEx, and a good 70% of the calls are due to delays in shipment or lost packages, and we have to try to calm FedEx for information. I have tried figuring out online what the customer service hours are, but have not had any luck. I know when I have called after 8pm or so on a weekday, the call dropped when the system tried to transfer me to a human. I get a lot of calls on Saturday night requesting that we call FedEx right then, and if not right then, Sunday morning. Is it even possible to get through to someone on a Sunday? Or should my follow-ups be for Monday? Also, it's great that FedEx is now taking pictures when they deliver packages, but 90% of them are just blurry close ups of a box, or a picture of the box still on the truck.....
this is how just about all automated phonelimes are set up but if you spam the 0 key when it requests you to select a service or what have you. it will bypass the automated call system and default you to an operator.
Not sure if this has been posted before but in case anyone needs it here’s how:
• Dial the 1-(800) number (+1 (800) 463-3339) • When you get the chance, say “main menu” • Press 7, then 7 again and then 8 • You will be asked to provide a tracking number. Don’t say anything and in a few moments you will be told to hold while you’re connected to a fedex representative
This method has worked for me 100% of the time !

Just to add to this -- I just (Oct 6 2022) tried a method that works for UPS and it worked perfectly for FedEx as well. Call the 800# (800-463-3339) and say "Returning a call" when prompted for an option on the main menu. Live agent in <5 seconds.
