If you're wanting to use your own domain, have more than 1 CMS collection, or are expecting more visitors, then you'll have to upgrade. Instead of you paying for the developer, you could have the client pay for the site and then invite you as an editor. This way, the client would be the one incurring the charges for any additional editors, not you. For example, you could design the site, send the client a remix link of your design, and then the client would buy a plan for the project that was created from the remix. They would then attach their custom domain to that and publish. Any further work that they ask you to do, they would invite you to their project as an editor. This approach would allow you to avoid the extra $20 per month charge for having a developer work on your site.
