WinCo is awesome. Employee owned. Huge selection. You bag your own groceries and everyone saves on the prices. The bakery is really consistent.

May 14, 2024 - I can't speak for Walmart but Grocery Outlet(GO) does at times edge out WinCo. That said, GO isn't always reliable about having stuff so if you can only make one stop, I'd go WinCo for the cost and availability of all of the other staples, especially bulk stuff.

I find WinCo to be the cheapest if you're doing a all-in-one shopping trip. Their produce does fluctuate in quality quite a bit but their shelf-stable items (canned, pre-packaged, etc.) are generally cheaper than others, especially if you don't care for name-brand items. WinCo is Debit/Cash only, so keep that in mind if you prefer to shop with a credit card.

For Safeway & QFC, their regular prices are outrageous. Only worth it for deals, which usually require their app coupon.
