Nectar vs DreamCloud - both Memory Foam Mattress options?? : r/Mattress
October 28, 2023 - Nectar they said is contouring and firmer. And dream cloud responsive and supportive. ... I ordered a Dream Cloud King size mattress with adjustable base! I absolutely love this bed!! I looked for a new mattress with adjustable frame for years and finally decided to go with this one!!

Nectar Vs. DreamCloud (2026 Update) - Personally Tested
In our experience, the Nectar mattress is softer than the DreamCloud. Lying on top of the Nectar, we sunk in more than we did on the DreamCloud. We also felt considerably better pressure relief when side sleeping.

January 24, 2022 - DreamCloud mattresses range from 5 – 6 out of 10. If you know that you want a soft feel, Nectar will be the better pick (Nectar Ultra Hybrid specifically), but for a medium or medium-firm feel, either brand could work.

Nectar Classic vs. DreamCloud Memory Foam Mattress Comparison
January 14, 2025 - This is on the upper end of average, most standard sheets should work but you may find that deep-pocket sheets fit better. The DreamCloud outweighs the Nectar but both beds are about what you’d expect from a foam mattress.

December 4, 2025 - I didn’t feel very supported when sleeping near the edge, which tells me that the Nectar doesn’t have great edge support. The DreamCloud performed significantly better on the edge support test.

October 16, 2025 -

So I have been going down the mattress rabbit hole for like two weeks and I swear every site says something different. I am mainly stuck between DreamCloud and Nectar since they both keep popping up in every search I make. If anyone here has tried both, how do they actually compare in real life?

From what I can tell, DreamCloud looks a bit more lifted and kinda springy while Nectar seems more slow sinking and hug style. But I keep seeing mixed stuff about firmness, edge support, cooling and all that. I am a combo sleeper and I move around a lot, so I am trying not to pick something that I will hate in three nights.

If you own either one or slept on both at some point, can you drop your honest take? Stuff like how it feels after a few months, if it sleeps warm, if it sags, or if one is clearly better for back pain.

Thanks in advance. My brain is tired and my wallet is scared.

I am thinking of buying a new mattress but after reading most of the entries here, I kinda started to think that these two companies (which are actually a branch of the same one; nectar and dreamcloud) make their mattresses from cheap materials. Some say they had no support, some said it was so much plastic that 10000 gallons of water was used during a fire. some report sagging after a year. And most importantly some say avoid it at all costs since they do not have a nice customer service and do not follow the warranty rules as well as 365 day free returns. Also some do say it is perfect. I am confused

My question is this, my budget is incredibly tight (less than 1k). So support and a memory foam are a must. Since there is this November discount, I was considering these two brands. I thought it could be better than cheaper alternatives ones, since they sell the mattress, the bedding etc with 850 usd tax included for my state.

Do you think it would worth 800ish usd? I believe if I had a budget of 1.5k and there were no black friday discounts, I would definitely buy a tempur pedic but I cannot afford it now and 400 usd is really crucial bc cheapest tempur pedic is 1300usd w/o tax. what would you do if you were me? Do you think any of these terrible brands are okayish for 800usd? or still I should keep looking?

Thank you so so much! All the help and comments are much appreciated.

I started researching mattresses and obviously started seeing ads everywhere about mattresses . I stumbled upon nectar (via ad) and dream cloud ( via amex offer). I had never heard of either....

but the weird thing is the have the exact same offer (buy mattress and get free protector, sheet set and cooling pillow) and even have a counter for the sale, and they are in sync, except offset by 2 hours.

I did a google search of nectar vs dream cloud and it was all automated websites doing a "comparison" but it's very clear it's all automated and none of that is real people...

is the whole mattress industry like that? are they just wrapping in different packages and reselling the same product with many companies? (I've seen it in other industries)

The hybrid DreamCloud performs better if you tend to sleep on your back or front while the all-foam Nectar is a good fit for back and side sleepers.

r/MattressAdvisory on Reddit: Nectar Hybrid vs Dreamcloud Hybrid? Deciding on a Hybrid mattress.
August 7, 2022 -

Well, I went to MattressFirm to check out some mattresses to see how some of them feel.

But MattressFirm only carry Sleepy's, Sealy, Nectar and TemperPedic.

I tried out all of them but Temper as that's over $2000 (my budget is around 1000 and under)

I tired the Sealy Posturepedic 12" Hybrid they have and it feels pretty good, so does the Nectar Premier, however the Nectar they have is Full Foam, they don't have the Hybrid... (the Full Foam is a bit too soft, so I think Hybrid is still best)

(MattressFirm was also advertising their Free adjustable beds for labor day sale... not sure how good that bed is)

(I was thinking of getting that KD wood/slated bed foundation I mentioned in an earlier thread, but I also saw a lot of review that says Hybrids goes really well with adjustable beds)

.

I took a look at Amazon to check out Nectar Hybrid (and premier version) reviews and also saw Dreamcloud Hybrid, that's apparently made by same company as Nectar.

(and checked Sealy, but Sealy seems to have a lower customer rating on Amazon)

So... what's the exact differences between Dreamcloud Hybrid and Nectar Hybrids?

(a lot of things seems to be similar) (but Dreamcloud Premier is about $100 less)

.

Also, are there any other Hybrid beds around the same feel (Medium to Medium-Soft) around the same price range (900~1000-ish or less) that's better than Nectar or Dreamcloud?

When it comes to Nectar vs DreamCloud mattress, Reddit, both are good options. But, I'd fully go with the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress. The Nectar Premier Copper Mattress is a decent option if you're looking for a softer feel.

(DreamCloud's just generally firmer)

Between Nectar or DreamCloud, DreamCloud as I mentioned can be a bit firmer. Still it will manage to offer good pressure point relief and comfort without it feeling like you're sinking into the mattress; which apparently is what you're looking for.

Also, the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress tends to be the firmer option compared to the Premier or Premier Rest.

They're both good for combination sleepers, so if you're all about that cloud-like feel, but with a more FIRM support, DreamCloud's the one.

DreamCloud vs Nectar, huh?

Both are made by Resident Home, so yes, lots of similarities. If you're a fan of that classic DreamCloud or Nectar feel, you might want to look into the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress as an alternative.

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress was designed with different layers of memory foam and other pressure-relieving materials for comfort and support.

It does hug your body but also keeps you aligned.

IMO, DreamCloud is the best option if you ask me to choose between Nectar or DreamCloud.

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress is a memory foam-based mattress and it leans more to the "responsive" side of things, providing a bit of bounce back. That makes it easier to move around in bed, which some people prefer.

The DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress leans more toward the firmer side of medium, I'd say a 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale, compared to Nectar's 5.5 out of 10. Also, if you're a fan of DreamCloud's luxury feel, for your budget, this mattress would be the best option.

A medium-firm mattress will provide you with the right balance of comfort and support.

So, if you liked the Sealy Posturepedic 12" Hybrid and the Nectar Premier Copper Mattress, put the DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress on your radar.

As the title says, can’t imagine there’s much of a difference between all these online brands, but I keep seeing them recommended. I’m looking for a new mattress and not trying to spend $3k, more in the $800-$1000 range and these brands seem to be the best bet. I prefer hybrid over memory foam and usually sleep on my side so something a little softer is preferred.

Any other recommendations welcome.

Edit: I also sleep pretty hot, so also looking for whichever has better cooling.

r/BuyItForLife on Reddit: Purchasing a queen mattress for two, both side sleepers, budget is $1k - $1.8k, hybrid memory foam, deciding between DreamCloud, Nectar, or Ashley Furniture
July 14, 2024 -

My girlfriend and I are purchasing a queen mattress for the very first time, and we've finally narrowed down what we're looking for. Looking for something that can last us at least 8-10 years.

It seems like to get the gel memory foam cooling that we want, along with the right comfort, $1k is the minimum.

Help us decide which of these 3 mattresses makes the most sense?

  1. DreamCloud Premier Hybrid: seems to fit everything we want, about $1.4k for the mattress, bed frame and headboard, and taxes. Right amount of firmness and cooling.

  2. Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid: extremely similar to the DreamCloud, but about $2k total for the mattress, bed frame and headboard, and taxes. Above the budget I'm looking for so might be out on this one.

  3. Ashley Furniture Sleep Align Firm Gel Memory Foam Hybrid: this is the ONLY one that my girlfriend and I tried in-person, and we loved it. Extremely cool surface, perfect amount of firmness, but total cost for the mattress, frame, and taxes is about $1.8k, at the top of our budget. So about $400-$500 less than the DreamCloud mattress. Wondering if there's room to negotiate this down a bit?

Tried some other mattresses in-person like Sealy (much lower cost but the quality was also lower; cooling top was non-existent) and Purple (high cost, weird texture, kinda sucked), and we're leaning toward the Ashley option just because our experience was so nice with it.

Any red flags here? Does it make sense to go with the cheapest one, DreamCloud, and just be done with it, or shoot for the Ashley Furniture one, for the local store benefit and since we've actually tried it?

November 12, 2024 -

Purchased a Nectar Premier Hybrid March 2024. Loved it at first but within a couple of months it started to sag. Wife got super sick over the holidays and was kind enough to sleep in the guest room so I was solo in bed for the first time. When I shifted from my typical spot to the middle it I was apparent how bad the indentations were (it took effort to roll uphill). We're not large people - she's 5'4, 130lbs & I'm 6'1, 190lbs. She has had 2 back surgeries so a supportive mattress is critical. We're looking for suggestions for a queen size, firm mattress that sleeps on the cool side. Price is not part of the equation. Would like to avoid memory foam if possible. TIA

July 6, 2022 -

So, I'm on the hunt for a new mattress. I've been researching brands for several days now, but I've found a lot of conflicting and/or potentially biased information. I've also looked at SLTD, but they don't have any information of OkiOki or DreamCloud. I'm dwelling between the following mattresses:

  • Purple Original - $1299 Queen

  • Nectar - $799 Queen

  • OkiEasy - $525 Queen

  • DreamCloud Hybrid - $999 Queen

Some additional information:
- Cost is a important factor for me - but not the only one. I don't care about brand name, so I'll most likely choose the cheaper brands if they can deliver quality that's close to more expensive brands.
- Side sleeper. Male, 6'3, 220lbs. Based on my research a Medium-Firm mattress is likely to be ideal.
- My preference is for hybrids because I like the comfort, but I also like a little bounce when, well... you know... Purple and Nectar are all foam (not hybrid), so I'm a bit unsure if it's going to impact this matter.

Hey everyone,

Currently moving and deciding between the dreamcloud classic hybrid vs the nectar classic hybrid, was wondering if anyone had thoughts on which one to go with. 5'10 and weight 170 combo sleeper between back and sides, just want an affordable mattress that'll last me 5 years + and is medium firm with a memory foam but supportive feel, thanks!
