I Just reinstalled the FTB App, and was given a window about Windows Defender Firewall blocking some features. I was just wondering is it okay/safe/Necessary to give it permission to use Public or Private Network Access. Any advice would be appreciated.

Firstly, JDK is short for Java development kit, and it's used by programmers and stuff. For playing minecraft you only need plain Java. Secondly, it should be okay to grant it access no problem. Oracle (Java company) is big and recognized.

If you play online, you'll need to give it permission. If you play on single player, you can block it no problem. As a bonus, the game will start faster because you don't have the additional time lost when every mod decides to call home and check for updates.
