No reason why you shouldn't besides possible ATM fees if you ever try to load cash on it. You really only make things much harder than they should be by not having one. If you expect to have money in your Paypal account fairly regularly the Paypal debit card is a must. With the Paypal debit card you're able to use your Paypal funds anywhere that accepts debit/credit cards even if they don't accept Paypal directly so that's a huge plus. Places like Amazon for example don't do business with Paypal so you can't buy anything with your Paypal account directly but you get to bypass that because you have the Paypal debit card and they just see it as any other debit card allowing you to use your Paypal funds to buy on Amazon with the debit card. Lots of stores both online and offline just have no Paypal option, no way to use your Paypal funds to buy anything but the Paypal debit card solves that problem. To this day lots of big fast food places, pizza places still don't even know about Paypal or they're being slow/lazy to add a Paypal option on their site but you can simply use your Paypal debit card anyway. Most of the time I use the grocery category too but since my Freedom card covered that for Q1 and Discover for Q2 I've set my PayPal debit to Clothing / Apparel. So far I've been successful getting 5% at Fanatics and Marshalls/Homegoods/TJ Maxx.
