Paypal stopped a hacker from charging my Apple App store account years ago. I was inline while it was happening and couldn't get anyone in Apple customer service live at the time. I was able to get ahold of PayPal and they blocked new charges. It took about 3 days to get the first couple of payments reversed. Since it was the app store it didn't amount to much money but it was scary watching it happen real time. That said, I only use them for online payments not regular bills. I would never use them or any third party service for regular payments. I use them as a buffer between my bank accounts and online merchants. Answer from Deleted User on reddit.com

Hi! I would like to know your opinion about this platform because sometimes I use it to pay for disney memberships, etc, but I have read that recently they block a lot of people's accounts. Asking for tons of documents, bank statements, passport photo, etc. In addition to the famous disputes that are becoming more and more common in PayPal.

A person messaged me, saying she doesn’t have a lot of money & asked if I could send her just a little bit (10$ or less)
Is it safe to send her money? I don’t really care if she is lying abt needing it (since it’s so little), and I don’t care about getting it back. I just wanna know if she could somehow hack my account & take more money?

Honestly if it’s just a little bit of money and it’s relatively one off then yeah, I’ve done it in the past and helped some people out with a few £/$ because I remember having randoms help me out back in the day too. Long as it’s only through PayPal and it’s a simple thing , wouldn’t be giving bank details and stuff out
