I follow this account on insta (Stashed) but it’s a 30 dollar subscription. What are the odds I pay the money then I don’t get any?
My account has been cancelled since December of last year and I'm now getting charged with a $9 subscription fee as of this month. The customer service said that my account/subscription is successfully cancelled/closed and I must have an alternate account signed up using my card.
But no, I do not have an alternate account (why would I sign up twice?). I signed up once to use a Swagbucks offer.
Their customer service just gives you the runaround and is probably not even legit, they seem to just want to get more personal information out of you. I'll have to close my card now and get a new one now, but I wouldn't be surprised if they try to empty my bank account or something.
STAY AWAY.
I had been using Stash for almost 5 years, and just recently decided to move all my accounts over to Fidelity.
What drew me initially to Stash was the fractional share investing and the easy to use interface. It is just like what I remembered from the early Share builder days when I first started investing.
For beginners, it's great. And it's also great when you want to invest in ETFs or stocks that are more expensive per share than what I'd be able to afford.
The cons? The customer service is rough. If you use email, good luck getting a response within a few hours. It's usually 24-48 hours. And sometimes the answers aren't to the questions you asked. There was an amount discrepancy from a crypto sale I completed. Instead of telling me how I was short a few bucks, they sent me a cookie cutter explanation about the differences between stocks and crypto.
In summary, if you are looking to do set and forget investing, Stash is alright. There are good educational tools in the app as well. But if you want to be a little more active in your portfolio or want to have the complete offerings of the market, there are now other options that offer fractional shares and a better overall experience.
