How do Christians in Syria view Israel?

Syrian Christian here. Let me start with a TL:DR. I absolutely, unequivocally, hate Israel. I dont hate the entirety of its people like others, its not a race thing either, so lets not pull the Anti-Semitic card please. I hate the government, not the People.

Now with that out of the way; heres a bit more detail.

I hate that they have a victim-complex, that they are notoriously one of the worst human-rights abusers, yet have the audacity to criticize our government, who are no saints btw, so lets get that out of the way too. I hate that they are serial liars. And write their own history that anyone whos read a bit knows its not true.

I hate that they stole land from my country. I am a Syrian first and foremost. I will live in Syria. I will give my last breath to try to rebuild Syria. I will die, and be buried, in Syria. In Seidnaya next to my ancestors, that fled to the mountains from those that persecuted them for being Christians, that is where I will be laid to rest.As you can see they fled to the mountains, and lived in the cold, non-arable land. But they didn’t leave Syria.I am Syrian before I am anything else.

The Golan is ours. The land is ours, and will always be ours. They are thieves. It is that simple, really. There is nothing more precious to our honor, than our land. It is ours, Syria has lost enough land over time.

Hating Israel the state, has nothing to do with being a muslim. They kill Syrian christians, just like Syrian muslims. They occupy Christians in Golan, just like muslims. Your Christian distinction will not garner the skewed results you might expect, trust me.

Israeli military expansion in Syria raises tensions as they carve out a buffer zone
2 weeks ago - Israel, which has cast itself as a defender of the Druze, though many of them in Syria are critical of its intentions, has also made overtures to Kurds in Syria. “The Israelis here are pursuing a very dangerous strategy,” said Michael Young, Senior Editor at the Beirut-based Malcolm H. Kerr Carnegie Middle East Center. It contradicts, he added, the positions of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt — and even the United States — which are “all in agreement that what has to come out of this today is a Syrian state that is unified and fairly strong,” he added.
