Think of it as an avalanche. It starts with one small drop, and very quickly falls. There is a saying. Bulls take the stairs to go up and Bears take the window to go down. Boom and bust frequently are made by people who sit on the sidelines, as they might join the party and swing the direction. If the undecided stay on the fence market usually is in between. It goes up a bit and it goes down a bit. How long crash last? how long is the string? The market is a beast made of millions of people and each person has many opinions frequently conflicting with their other opinions not mentioned to all other people.
