Webflow Review 2025: Pros & Cons, Features And Pricing
October 17, 2025 - What I love most about this feature is how it lets you set realistic expectations for your projects. You can see exactly how your design will function and make adjustments before you commit. Plus, it opens the door to creating experiences that go beyond static designs, so your site doesn’t just look good; it feels dynamic and modern. My take on Webflow's design capabilities: Honestly, between the templates and the prototyping tools, I felt empowered to create a site that’s both functional and visually stunning.

r/webdev on Reddit: Is WebFlow actually good for building custom websites or do influencers just sell it as being good for this?
August 19, 2024 -

I know it might be a controversal question but let me explain:

I like having custom websites. I don't like hardcoding them and having to manually configure the CMS with something headless.

I like CMS platforms, though they're a bit hard to get customized a lot of the time.

Webflow seems nice. I'm considering learning it. I've seen som really fancy custom sites built with it. I hear that it can make your production process more efficient (though I'm not fully sure how).

At the same time, influencers who promote it tend to be sponsored by the software...

Does webflow actually help build clean / custom sites that have CMS functionality built in? Is it worth learning?

People also ask

Is Webflow easy to use?
Webflow certainly has a learning curve, especially for first-time users. But once you get the hang of its layout and logic (which mirrors HTML and CSS structure), it becomes an intuitive and powerful visual development tool. It’s easier than hand-coding, but more advanced than traditional site builders like Wix or Squarespace.

r/webflow on Reddit: Are developers hyping up webflow and making clients take the burden?
February 24, 2021 -

Alright here me up.

WordPress and webflow head to head. Let's say you know how to develop websites on both platforms. And we consider developing a normal, not so fancy website (just like most clients would want to).

From a developer's perspective, webflow offers a superior user experience, much more granular controls, and exports cleaner code than WordPress. I can see why I would pay 16$ for that.

But from the client's perspective, aren't they getting basically the same website with a marginal increase in performance, but thrice or quadruple the price than a WordPress website?

As a newbie into web dev, I can't help but think, are we as developers pitching the clients to switch to webflow because it's a great deal for us, but not so much for the clients?

Any opinions are welcome. I stand guided.

Thanks

In my experience with my clients webflow has by far been the clients favorite for simple sites. We also develop Wordpress and custom Shopify themes, really depending on the use case. Personally I believe that if adding $10 a month for hosting breaks the deal the client really isn’t serious about wanting a website and wix or something like that would be a better option for them. With so many diy low cost options it’s hard to compete in the starter level websites and actually make the money you want unless monthly SEO is your end goal but then you’re right back to higher monthly charges. Personally I do love webflow. And from my experience once I add plug ins and whatever you may need for Wordpress that price gets so similar that it’s goofy to get hung up over a few dollars, after all everything we charge as developers to businesses is 100% a tax write off for them. Wordpress definitely has its advantages because of its age, you can’t discredit the amount of support and things you can do with it and many clients are already familiar with it. But I have a lot of faith that webflow will continue to evolve and truly be a solid alternative to Wordpress, one day. And until then I’m willing to use plugins and custom code to achieve what I need in webflow, I’ve also never built a Wordpress site without running into its own set of challenges so it’s really up to the user case and making sure you make the best choice for the client in the end. But so far I can’t replicate the twinkle and excitement clients have when I start their webflow editor training, they’re usually up and running in 30 min and are thrilled that their website is so easy for them to interact with. Webflow still has a ways to go and features I’m looking forward too but I’m sold on the company and have utilized webflow in all of my projects for the past 2 years even for making Wordpress themes when I need to. Developers tend to get set in ways, and I’m a fan of products that challenge that. Webflow is definitely challenging a lot of old school guys and I think that it’s a good thing.

If it’s good for the dev, it’s good for the client. The relationship is a factor to consider alongside the end product.
