Hey all! I have a potential job opportunity in Windsor Locks and was curious on what peoples thoughts are on the area? I have never been and can only gain so much from the little info I could find online. I have two kids ages 3 and 5 so I am interested in hearing about schools as well as fun stuff to do in the area. Please don’t hold back good/bad all thoughts and opinions are welcome and appreciated!

I had a job in Windsor for 10 years. It's a nice area. Reasonably safe, decent schools, short hop to either Hartford or Springfield so there's lots to do. It's a very middle-class suburban area with decent property values and nice homes. I'd put it in the top few areas of Connecticut to live for people who aren't interested in living in a city or in farm country.

Hey y’all how is Windsor as a place to live in? Is there any stuff to do around the area or will it be extremely boring? I’m gonna work in Bloomfield. Wanted to get opinions because I got a decent room with some furniture for around 800 per month in a 3 bedroom house with working professionals around 25-30.

we moved here in 2020. it is quaint, a little sleepy and mostly quiet. there is a speeding issue on windsor ave where people go way too fast all the time but other than that its a nice town. pretty diverse.

Depends. I'm right near the highway, and our neighbors on one side are fantastic, on the other side obnoxious. Also had a kid (a teen? I assume) ride his bike down my driveway for no reason, and 2 guys in a truck pull in and ask us a bunch of random ass questions. Lots of wildlife though, bears, bobcats, door to door sales people...

It's pretty nice. Northwest Park is really great and there are a few other nice parks. The library seems to have a lot going on.
It is absolute pizza desert though. There's one, maybe two, decent pizza places, which I just don't understand.
