What do you think is the “right” order to take the ISACA certifications? Is there an official order from ISACA or it based on experience and desired career path?
-CISA -CRISC -CISSP -CISSM
I have 11 years experience in IT operations, 3 of which are in IT governance. Now I want to move and specialize in IT risk (I have an opportunity to move up to a director level, I want to improve my chances). I was thinking CRISC first, but I am honestly not sure.
I have read a lot of materials from ISACA, my experience will help with all of these certifications.

There isn’t an order, it depends on what you do. CISA is a mostly third line focused cert. CRISC is a mostly second line focused. CISM is a first and second line. CDPSE is a first line and second line. CGEIT is for leadership of IT or second line. CISSP is from ISC2, not ISACA but that’s a first line cert too.

CISA Ranks first - the Oldest (from 1970s unlike other certs from ISACA which were introduced in 2000s) and the only IT Audit certification in the Globe, ISACA is known for COBIT and CISA. CISM is gaining popularity only as a substitute for CISSP as CISSP is difficult to crack, for infosec CISSP tops and for Audit and GRC, CISA tops.
ISACA's new technical privacy certification: the CDPSE
ISC2 has the HCISPP for the healthcare privacy practitioner. After five years or so, only 1410 certified (including me). I will apply for the CDPSE because - why not? This ISACA cert seems closer to the CIPT, right? I do wonder if this will catch on. IAPP really has this market cornered. More on reddit.com

September 14, 2019Does anyone sit CSX-P certification?
I have it. It is a practical exam vs a traditional multiple choice exam. There are no questions/practice tests that will help you. The exam has changed since I took it - but when I did it the best resource was the ISACA training labs. Outside of that you'll want to understand the NIST CSF and have familiarity with the linux cli and common cybersecurity tools.
