Curious About the Safety and Perception of Christians in Israel
2% of Israelis are Christians. Mostly Arab Christians. Israel is one of the only middle eastern countries with a flourishing and growing (Instead of shrinking) Christian minority. In general they have normal citizenship and a complete freedom of religion. Most Israelis see them as just a part of the diverse and beautiful puzzle which is Israeli society. Some religious extremists hate them, but that is a small minority. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_Israel More on reddit.com

How is the life in Israel for a Christian?
Most Israeli Christians I know are pretty cool with living in Israel with the exception of tensions in the old city from racists. If you go to the JLM Old City and go to the book store that you see when you walk in to the right- it’s run by Argentinian Christians who have a similar story More on reddit.com

Latest Population Statistics for Israel
Since Rosh Hashanah 2024, Israel’s population has grown by 101,000 (an increase of only 1.0%, compared to 1.2% and 2.0% in the two years prior, respectively). The total Jewish population and other residents in September 2025 was 7,758,000 (78.5%), and 2,130,000 (21.5%) were Arabs. Those identified as “others” are non-Arab Christians, Baha’i, Samaritans, Karaite Jews, Seventh-day Adventists, Messianic Jews, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and immigrants from the former Soviet Union, who identify themselves as Jewish but do not satisfy the Orthodox Jewish definition of “Jewish,” which the government uses for civil procedures.
