I'll try to keep this brief... I had a J Crew credit card for several years. I had an outstanding balance before they moved from Comenity to Synchrony last month. I can no longer log into Comenity for that account because the J Crew credit card program was purchased by Synchrony. I called Synchrony and they said my account with them is closed. My credit report still reflects the outstanding balance, but I'm trying to figure out if I should halt payments to Comenity since they aren't responsible for that program anymore. It feels complicated, but maybe it's not. Any insight?

I would just pay comenity and be done with their BS. Both banks are trash

Go to https://jcrew.syf.com/login to set up your account. You should be able to see all the old charges associated with Comenity and pay your bill. You can also go into a store and pay your bill with cash or debit card.
