I recently got the elite 4 active and I am loving it. The only downside for me is that it doesn't have multipoint pairing.
I initially didn't think I would need it and thought maybe I can just switch between my work laptop and smartphone needed. Big mistake, it's really a hassle switching.
Any chance this model gets multipoint pairing like how it's predecessors got it after a firmware update?
Hello, u/ajcastillo301
Thank you for the question. At this time we are not aware of any plans to offer this feature through a firmware upgrade for the Elite 4 Active.
Please consider multipoint support through software update for this premium earbuds, jabra elite 4 active. That would be a nice feature to add on from Jabra.

Who should buy the Jabra Elite 4 Active?
Athletes should pick up these durable, true wireless earbuds for workouts in any environment. Students or anyone on a budget will like these earbuds for the relatively low cost, good battery life, and some noise canceling.
Is the Jabra Elite 4 Active waterproof?
Durability is perhaps the biggest perk of the Jabra Elite 4 Active. An IP57 rating means these earbuds hold up well in nearly any environment. Jabra even offers a two-year warranty protection against water and dust, which is activated by registering your device within the Sound+ app.
How can I charge the Jabra Elite 4 Active?
The earbuds charge up by magnetically snapping into place in the charging case. There’s no wireless charging support for the case, so you’ll have to plug it in via USB-C to charge. Lithium batteries don’t last forever, so unfortunately, battery life will degrade with time.
I already understood that cheaper 4 has a Multipoint, but in Active it was removed. That is a TERRIBLY disappointing decision! I couldn't even imagine it's possible in 2023. I've read the description for 4, saw that feature is there and then decided to buy Active, sort of a "better" version. Well... that was another bad decision.
No multipoint, no wireless charging... 20$ headphones from china are shipped with all of those.
It's basically unusable in today's world. As far as I know that is a software feature, so it was removed "just because". And even if not? What a pointless move!
Worst purchase in a while for sure. Will never go back to your brand. Don't want to be confused one more time by your marketing team that juggles the features in such a stupid way.
Just bought these (not the Active model). Can't figure out how to do multipoint with them. Multipoint is definitely listed as a feature. See Essential earbuds for work and life | Elite 4 (jabra.com)
Probably a PICNIC error! Can anyone assist, please?
According to this page I should be able to pair the earbuds with multiple devices at the same time. But that doesn't seem to be working for me:
They paired with my phone (Pixel 7) with no issues.
Then I paired them with my laptop and they worked fine there, but my phone could no longer detect them.
Then I paired them with my phone again and now my laptop can no longer connect.
To pair, all I did was hold both buttons for 3 seconds to put them in pairing mode. If there some other way to do that without un-pairing from the previous device?
Jabra can quickly release a firmware update to include multipoint BT, but they will never do; they want you to buy their more expensive Elite 7 active. With elite 4, you can connect with only one device at a time. From phone, if you wish to connect to the computer, you need to pair again each time you switch devices, what a headache. Another disappointment is no in-ear detection (buds won't stop playing music when you remove either of them). Mic quality is very very bad.
Alexa won't work handsfree (unlike cheaper Echo Buds 2). To use Alexa you need to physically press the button on the buds. Pressing these buttons for any control cause pain in ear too.
Overall, this model is a disappointment.
