That's disappointing to hear. Been a Jabra user since the 65. Hopefully the evolve buds get the improvements that the elite series has gotten. I'd shell out a bit more for "enterprise" level buds. No one else has their battery life, fit and small form. The new elite 8 Gen 2 without ANC is rated for 14hrs! No one I know uses or has heard of Jabra. I try recommending them as much as I can but they still prefer Apple for high end or random Amazon brands for the cost savings. If anyone has any other recs please share. Running my elite 8 Gen 1 into the ground until a better option comes up and even then I hope some stockpiles gen 2s in a warehouse somewhere collecting dust😂

It's so strange to me that they announced this at pretty much the same time they announced the Gen 2 Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active. The Gen 2 thing on it's own was weird, then to top it off they say that's it folks, we are discontinuing this product line. All this happened the day after I ordered Elite 8 Active (gen 1). I wouldn't had made the purchase after these announcements. Probably would have chose Bose or some other brand. I just can't imagine that telling folks you are going to cancel a product right after releasing a new version is a good idea (on top of naming the new version Gen 2).

Ironically I just lost my Jabra Elite75t and went to use the location/tracking feature only for it to be 4 months old and said it was in a city 5 hours away... when I had it that morning and it was somewhere in the vehicle. Yikes
I vouched to never buy such dumb software implementation like this... and voila, they validated my thought process

NOOOO!!! Their earbuds are the best for Teams calls. They're the only set of earbuds that don't make me sound like I'm broadcasting from the moon to other people. This includes AirPods: if you use AirPods for Teams/Zoom calls, please stop. You sound horrible to everyone else on the call.

This really stinks. It's by far my favorite brand for earbuds. I used to be a Bose fanboi, but Jabra convinced me otherwise. I've had 65t, 75t, Elite 7 and Elite 10. Wife has Elite 4 and Elite 7. I was very tempted to get the Elite 8 active simply for durability purposes. The ruggedness is not worth much without the confidence that they stand behind their statements. They say gradual wind-down, but that is hard to interpret. As it stands now, gradual wind-down could be to ship the already produced Gen 2s, and then cover the warranty claims according to regulation. With the generic statement they've made, and factoring in EU warranty laws, this interpretation is consistent with "support for multiple years" If there was some sort of roadmap I might be more convinced to get the Elite 8 gen 2. E.g. we guarantee sales for another X years, and fw-upgrades, warranty, repairs and replacement for an additional Y years after end of sales in X years.

I have a pair of Elite Active 4’s that I paid about £40 for. Their amazon page is now impossible to navigate. So many earburds with or without active in the title, loads of numbers. Most are £150 and above. No listings on other websites like Argos, John Lewis, etc. Annoyed I’ll have to find an alternative brand 😞

Nope. They stopped making them, so all stock is pretty much gone. Despite the copy and paste response from Jabra to this and every post, they don’t have the common sense to just keep producing their final Active and Elite models and just keep those stocked, without the need to develop updated products thereafter. They exited the personal audio market way too quickly, and millions of customers now have to just go and spend their money on an alternative brand. Short sighted craziness by Jabra.

had this exact conumdrum about 2 weeks ago, was eyeing the 8 gen2s and then the official jabra ebay listing went out of stock, so i knew it was probaly only going to become harder and harder to come by. i got mine of ebay from random but reputable seller. just gotta be more vigilant anf keep checking, almost obsessively. eventually some listings will pop up. i got mine for 175usd pre tax shipped. i think they are going for around 199usd plus now. But yes, i understand the annoyance, these ticked all the boxes in terms for features and battery life, shame jabra are gettting out of the TWS game. loved my 7pros untill it was stolen. so just keep an eye out, there will still be new ones popping up now and then on ebay. I remember when I first got ahold a pair of 65t actives and was just bamboozled by how much better they were then everything back then ,
Then the 75t actives rolled out and then I thought I found the ultimate headphones . Was literally on cloud 9.
Never really tried the 85ts cause of all the reviews , the apparent bulkiness and the 75ts just felt timeless . Nonetheless, I thought this was simply personal preference, and or maybe just an anomaly ( in my head it couldn’t be possible that Jabra put out their next line and it turned out to be a step backward !?!)
But then the next way of randomly numbered headphones came out and
It just didn’t make sense , how the masters of sound just randomly transferred to any other random company more focused on pumping out random series in order to pump out more sales .
Why the hell did the GOATs start trending backwards 🥲?

I don't know, but my Jabra Evolve 75e headphones are one of the best dual purpose units out there (music and conference calls). Unfortunately they've been discontinued as well.... I'd rank them as perfect if they were upgraded to USB-C.
