Yeah, sadly that is the nature of Bluetooth. :( It's not a specific thing to these headphones in particular. The hands free profile of the Bluetooth codec does not allow Stereo audio while the microphone is in use.
Gaming headsets use RF and have base stations to transmit audio so that full duplex audio does not drop quality down to mono sound with a low sample rate like Bluetooth does.
