Jabras can be very aggressive with high frequency amplification. Some people like that, some people don't. I would definitely recommend trying on a different make to compare and see which one you feel you can hear best with. The Rexton BiCores are pretty good for severe loss so give those a whirl. Apple is much superior to android for hearing aid compatibility. They have dominated for over 10 years. The app works with android. The bluetooth works only with a handful of newer androids and only if they have current updates. I have Pro 20s and a newish android phone. Very often, the bluetooth will stop working in one ear. I need to stop and start bluetooth on the phone for both ears to work. This is especially true when switching between apps on the phone. The android codec for Jabra HAs is Audio LE. That came with a version of One UI that was released last Fall. I updated One UI earlier this week. I've had mine for around 4 months and couldn't be more pleased. When I got them in I thought the left one had failed so I called support and had a new set within 5 days. I then realized that it was user error that caused the problem with the original pair. Support = A+ Now, I can't get the day started without putting them in. I can't even feel them and have to check at night to see if I remembered to put them in their charging case. The sound quality is great for speech, I question their use for phone calls but that may just be me. I usually just hold the phone to my ear and the sound is great. Good for podcasts but pretty lame to listen to music from your phone (no bass). They do a great job to reduce ambient noise. When you buy yours make sure you take their on-line hearing test in a quiet room with good quality headphones. Their engineers will adjust them before they ship them to correct problems noted in the test. If you want, sign up for their premium package which will give you access to their audiologist support program. They can make adjustments remotely if necessary.
