Hy i came across this japanese style futon bed as i was searching for a new bed, since i sleep very good on a futon bed. Does anyone have any experience with this bed and matras i was thinking of putting the tatami mats under the matras that way it is even more comfy. Does anyone know what the ikea variant is called so i can do some research? Thanks!
I am tired of my cheap squeaky Ikea bed frame and am looking for one that doesn't squeak and will last for life. Being easy to assemble and disassemble is important, as I'm a renter. I settled on Japanese joinery platform beds, and am deciding between two. One is the popular Thuma (link) and the other is a website called tatamiroom.com that sells platforms beds (link). The tatamiroom bed seems like a better value since you can add a sturdy headboard, while the Thuma sadly does not have this option. Does anyone own either of these beds, what are your thoughts?
Basically just looking for the cheapest bed and mattress what do you recommend? I don't really want to go with a futon since I'm on hard wood floor.
