[AskJS] Technical test questions about javascript and related framework
Just use Google. https://github.com/sudheerj/javascript-interview-questions The best advice I can give you is to not bullshit about things you don't understand, any interviewer with more experience than you will see right through it, and nobody wants to work with someone who can't admit they don't know everything. JavaScript Interview Q&A - Most common JS concepts you should know by heart
I wouldn't care if a candidate doesn't know about hoisting, debouncing and throttling. I don't see these as core JS concepts. Well, I take that back, hoisting obviously is. But I've been doing JS development since '97 professionally and I can't honestly think of a single instance where I had to know anything about hoisting. Maybe that's simply because I've always written code in a logical way, hence hoisting doesn't tend to be a factor. Debouncing and throttling are ideas you can easily learn if and when the need arise, not something you have to know cold in my opinion. The rest are reasonable to test for, though I personally wouldn't consider someone that didn't know some of them disqualified immediately. It would just be one factor among many to consider. Iโ€™ve been working on a project to help people dive deeper into JavaScript and prepare for web dev interviews. Itโ€™s called CodeClimbJS, and it offers coding exercises based on actual javascript interview exercises. Itโ€™s completely free, and Iโ€™m passionate about supporting the developer community.

  • Upcoming Features:

    • React/Visual Feedback Test Cases: Developing a system to create dynamic testing environments for React components.

    • Video Tutorials: Planning to offer tutorials on how I built this web app, it uses NextJS 14 and was mainly created to deep dive into Next new features.

As the project is still in its early stages, I would love to hear your feedback to improve the platform. Your insights will help me refine the test cases and enhance the overall user experience.

Thank you for checking out CodeClimbJS. I hope you find it a valuable tool for your learning journey!

PS: I know how much a lot of devs hate this kind of challenges but they helped me a lot learning sometimes overlooked topics.

Best,
F.

March 28, 2025 - Here's a basic implementation of a deep equal function in JavaScript: ... In this example, the deepEqual function recursively checks if two objects (or arrays) are equal. It first checks if the two objects are the same reference. If not, it verifies that both are objects and not null. Then, it compares the keys and values recursively to ensure all nested structures are equal. This topic is valuable for front-end interviews as it tests a candidate's understanding of deep vs.
