Honestly the little pillar tweeters suck. Just get 4 6x5s and a pair of 3x2s (I believe) for the dash.

The infinity reference series are a great buy and don’t need a dedicated amp and would sound a lot better then the JBL package for a fraction of the cost.

the physical clip broke the first week i had it, moderate use. the volume increase button broke the first month after it fell off a kitchen counter of 4 feet or whatever. there is no way to start a song over, and if you don't clip it, and place it on a hard surface (where it is implied you can do that, as there is grips/dampening pads on the back) , the entire speakers audio blows out, becomes rattly, vibrates, and will actually shift itself off a flat surface like a bug running across a table... which is how my volume button broke in the first place. the JBL writing has totally peeled in most places. bluetooh cuts out regularly when first connecting it to my iPhone or iPad or any surrounding mobile device really. won't even work with my high end PC which has bluetooh 5.0. in it. i took it in the shower with me a couple weeks ago and since then, there is a nasty crackle during music with clear highs present in the mix. jazz and classical mostly. sound is pretty bass heavy, but not too bad. some trap music feels too blown out and beats make the whole thing rattle as mentioned earlier. most other aspects of the sound aren't bad at all honestly, i'll give it that. surprisingly, none of those are it's biggest faults. my biggest gripe with this thing is when you turn the volume up all the way on either your source or the speaker itself, the audio cuts out for multiple seconds to indicate it's at full volume, while also making an annoying *messenger* type noise to tell you it's at max. doesn't seem too annoying at face value but it will drive you nuts after a week, bet. completely ruins the immersion and stops your music dead in its tracks or cuts out the important dialogue on a tv show or youtube video you were watching, forcing you to skip back a scene, which is why you turned it up louder in the first place... to hear it. such a shame. anyways, im not usually one to write reviews or shit on products but honestly I would be shocked if this was the best buy at even $50. YMMV i guess. I use it at work now for the boys while we work, and even though it's coated in mortar, we still get to enjoy our day a little more while building schools and hospitals and shit.
