Hello everybody,
I have a JBL Xtreme 3 for maybe 6-7 months. I use it on the go, beach sometimes indoors etc.
The sound indoors is great and sometimes the bass is too much. Outside for a example on the beach when there's no support from walls etc. the box is not loud enough and the sound gets thin. So my understanding is the box has not enough power to deliver good bass without support from walls etc.
My question is: how much better is the Boombox 3 really? Is the Boombox louder and has way more power then the Xtreme?
Especially the bass from the Xtreme gets really fast very weak when not sitting right next to it.
Edit: and has someone experience to power the Xtreme or Boombox with a Powerbank with AC output? The Xtreme and Boombox has more power when plugged.

I have Both. I love them Both. If i would have to choose one i must say the boombox. Especially with the price drop they have on them now.
I’f you do opt for xtreme 3 then get the GG version because the ND version sounds like straight up ass. Had to return my xtreme3 ND. The boombox is good with the ND. All the stores in my area only have ND Boombox 2 and it sounds awesome :)

That feels bad bro, feel sorry for you... Anyway boombox 3 has been the latest jbl speaker, so boombox 4 isnt coming soon for sure, Theres also no info about the xtreme 4 But i would definitely pick boombox 3 becsuse its a way more powerful speaker with way more bass and sound quality and volume, and also 2 xtremes will cost 600$ or even more, compared to the 500 and less of the boombox. I have them both too and 2 Xtreme 3 nd and 1 Xtreme 3 gg. The difference between the nd and the gg models is there, but not that mutch, 3 x Xtreme 3 sounds nearly like a boombox 2, but if you want to carry your stuff around the Xtreme 3 is mutch better.
