I’m looking for some good advice on upgrading my jeans situation. I recently moved to a city for a new job and want to level up my casual outfits a bit so I don’t look like I’m still in college. I’m in my late twenties, about average build, and I need something that fits well for both the office on casual Fridays and weekends around town. I live in the US so brands that are easy to get here would be ideal. I’ve mostly worn Levi’s 511s in the past but I’m open to trying new brands or fits.
Which jeans do you all recommend that have good quality, fit well, and are worth the price?

The canonical answer is to get into r/rawdenim which will naturally fade in a unique to you way over a long period of time. Raw denim is a subculture unto itself, but you don’t have to join the subculture just to pick up a pair. I have one pair of 3Sixteen jeans in a Classic Straight cut in Burkina Faso selvedge and love them (am wearing them right now). Part of what makes raw denim weird is that you are supposed to wash it as little as possible and people do take this to an extreme. Feel free to not take it to an extreme. Hand wash and line/flat dry when you have to. You may not win awards at the denim fading meet, but you can just wear them, wash as needed, and live your life.
