I love the fit of the Levi's 527 jeans (slim bootcut) but my last 4 pairs from Amazon have ripped in the crotch within the year. Anyone know what other brands have a similar cut/fit but with higher quality denim?

I decided to retire from skinny jeans this year, which led to a whole new world of denim options... And a whole lot of indecision. So I hit up a Levi's sale, tried out ten different fits/quality tiers, took way too many pictures, and figured maybe someone else may benefit from seeing the breakdown on these.
All pairs are size 31x32. I'm 5'11". In order of appearance...
501 Premium (Original)
505 (Regular)
505 Premium (Regular)
505 Selvedge (Regular)
514 (Straight)
514 Premium (Straight)
517 Premium (Bootcut)
527 (Slim Bootcut)
550 (Relaxed)
555 Premium (Relaxed Straight)
Main takeaway was the quality of the higher tiers - specifically the Premium and Selvedge lines. As someone who's only shopped Levi's at department stores, outlets, etc., the difference in material seemed pretty significant jumping up to the higher tiers. Premium specifically retails just short of $100, but waiting for a sale and catching these for $60-$70 over the standard line seems like a no-brainer, for the most part.
Exception to that would be the Premium lines that rely heavy on Lyocell... 514, for example - 70% cotton, 28% Lyocell, 2% LYCRA. Super comfortable as soon as you wear them, but my experience has always been Levi's losing their shape pretty fast if they have elastane or anything similar. So I'm cautious there.
But the 501 Premiums... Or any of the 100% cotton options, including the 505 Selvedge... Significant step up in quality. Feel nicer, look nicer, actual leather tags. Big fan. Wish they had 100% cotton Premium options for more of their styles.
Fit's all subjective - none of these are as high of a waist as I'd like (Wrangler Cowboy Cuts come to mind), and the pockets seem a bit big, and low - but that all seems to be pretty standard these days, at least from what I've come across so far shopping for anything-but-skinnies.
Anyways! No idea if this is worth posting, but if my obsessive rabbit holes could benefit someone else... Maybe we'll give this a shot with a Volume 2?
So I've been looking around online and in stores, and the 507's seem to be nowhere (other than eBay), not even Levi's website. I'm assuming they've been discontinued, though I can't find any concrete answer. The 507's fit me perfectly and I'm about to buy a pair of Clarks so I wanted to pick up a few more slim boot cut jeans.
So my question is, to people who have worn/know about 507's: Are the 517's a viable alternative/substitute? Maybe they just changed the numbers and they're the same exact pair? Any help would be great, thanks guys!
Love the fit. Hate the denim. Just bought a new pair and they feel like tracksuit pants, not denim. Really like the slightly wider calf, without being bootcut. The high rise without the saggy bum e.g. The Nudie Gritty Jackson has a close to similar leg, but the rise is too low, and give you that saggy pants look.
Any suggestions of any jeans that come close to being the same cut/fit as Levi's 514? Thanks!
This is my first post, and an attempt to give back to this sub that is helping me discover a new style.
One of the biggest issues I have with my current style has been that all the jeans I was finding in stores were baggy and just made me look scruffy. This is because they have been "relaxed" or "comfort" fit. Most recently (like, 2 years), I've been wearing Lee Premium Select Comfort fit from my local Fred Meyer, they're super comfy, not that super highly marked up for B&T stuff, and available 2 miles from my house.
Thanks to this sub and Chubstr, I recently found the Levi 541s, and ordered a three pairs in different colors. For those who don't know these jeans are "Athletic" fit, which means they have more room in the butt and thighs, but are slightly tapered on the leg so they're not baggy.
However, only one of the (same sized) fit me at all and it gapes above the ass and rides low in general, making me uncomfortable in them, so I returned the ones that didn't fit (but had taken the tags off the ones that "did") and went back to my old jeans.
During my purchase of the 541s, I did a bunch of research including into custom fit, and talking to the Levi live chat folks, and came to the conclusion that Levi just doesn't cater to my body shape.
This week I decided to see if I could apply my new found knowledge and checked if Lee had jeans in different cuts that might work better than the "comfort" style.
I found that Lee has a Big & Tall Athletic cut too: LEE Men's Big and Tall Modern Series Athletic Fit Jean on Amazon
I ordered these and several other cuts:
Regular Fit/Straight Leg
Regular Fit/Straight Leg, stretch
Straight Fit/Straight Leg
And a pair of these chinos (I know it says Jean): LEE Men's Big and Tall Modern Series Extreme Motion Straight Fit Jean
I saved about $50 over ordering from Lee's site directly, although there was a sixth style that was more expensive, so I didn't purchase it.
I'm still waiting on the stretch and chinos to arrive, but I've received and tried on the others.
And let me tell you: The athletic fit is GREAT. They ride higher, and only gape a tiny bit if they start to fall down (I'm going to need a belt!). I could probably go down a size, TBH, but i need to wash these first. They also fit nicer, in my opinion. The taper is a bit more severe, so while I found the 541s still a little baggy, these are better, and they are comfortably snug on my butt and thighs (they remind me a lot of the burgundy chinos I got in my first Winston Box a few weeks back which I love).
The relaxed/straight were tighter on the waist and thicker denim, I didn't find them particularly comfortable.
The straight/straight I couldn't even button up, definitely go up a size on these. Also, less comfy on the leg IMO.
I'll update when I get the other two pairs.
TL;DR: if you find the Levi 541s ride low, or gape, check out the LEE Modern Series Athletic Fit (Big & Tall) instead.
EDIT: I got the other two pants today.
The regular/straight stretch and better than the regular/straight, but still not what I'd call comfy. Going up a size would be too big, they might stretch but I will trade them in for a second paid of the athletic fit instead.
Lastly, the chinos. These are SUPER comfy and look good. Would recommend. Particularly if you also got and liked the burgundy chinos in the Winston Box (seems a lot of us have!)
