I was a summer camp counselor for years and I never saw this kind of behavior, so it is certainly not "generational." As the parent, you need to decide what is appropriate for your som to watch. Sure he may feel left out, but do you really want him growing up with these ideas and think that they are ok? Try finding some other videos for him that are more age-appropriate, see if he can get his friends to watch those instead. Or if you are really concerned, you can talk to other kids' parents and see if they know what their kids are watching. Some parents just don't care. More on reddit.com
