I am not sure whether it is intentional or not, but leaning now toward intentional imitation, after watching her acceptance speech for P&P at the BAFTA awards, in which she accepted the award with an absolutely British accent; and then the Tony awards in which she accepted with an American accent. I can only conclude that she is gifted in the art of mimicry and that she somehow channeled Meryl Streep during a lot of her performances.
