I’m a value investor at heart. I always see Jim pumping $NVDA and apple, Lilly especially when they are at 52 week high I have no idea about his math other than momentum
I have also seen him pumping a lot of SPAC and then suddenly he changed his tune
Has anyone derived or gleaned any meaningful insights from him
As a matter of fact when Jim is bearish and crying I buy those for example
I bought meta at 90 and PayPal at $55
What is your thought I also know that there is inversecramer etf

I think Cramer is a good source to get to know what companies and stocks are out there, work like a ticker symbol reminder to me. But his buy sell signals are everyone’s own judgment.

I'm no Jim Cramer apologist, but you have to understand the dude is mostly just an entertainer/personality and that he has to make "calls" on multiple stocks per day (i.e. the "Lightening Round") in order to draw eyeballs. It's not feasible for anyone to study that many tickers and be ready to make a strong conviction buy/sell/hold call every month, much less daily. I do think he's a decent sourcing device for lesser known tickers. He has CEOs, etc. of companies I had never heard of before come on and talk about their company or their earnings results, the industry, how they're thinking about performance, etc. which are some combo of useful knowledge and/or have led me to add them to my watch list to generate new ideas (i.e. this company is in X industry that's growing rapidly, but Y is in the same and appears fundamentally better). So yeah, I do think some of the hate he gets is unwarranted, but I don't think he's a genius either. You have to do your own diligence and buying solely because a "pundit" on CNBC says so is a recipe for disaster.
