September 5, 2025 - The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) releases the Employment Situation Summary, better known as the employment or jobs report, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time on the first Friday of every month.

September 6, 2017 - The bulletin reports on key employment trends by sector, and on evolving employment patterns across the city and in Downtown, the Districts, Centres, Secondary Plan areas, Employment Areas, and Areas of Employment. ... The Toronto Employment Survey counted 1,623,720 jobs in 2025, marking a new record high. In 2025, the Toronto Employment Survey recorded a 1.5 per cent increase in total jobs, up 23,410 jobs. Full-time employment increased by 24,940 jobs or 2.0 per cent from 2024 to 1,243,620 jobs.

Combined with a gain of 6,100 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 28,600 total jobs in November. Full-time employment has recovered since reaching a bottom in July 2025 and now stands at a record high. * All figures are seasonally adjusted, 3-month moving averages. Seasonal adjustment removes normal seasonal fluctuations.
