The Essential Joel Edgerton Movies
I finally realized the range of Joel Edgerton today. I don't feel bad saying this because I am convinced he's such a chameleon he's been "hiding in plain sight" for years in these movies I watch.
Joel Edgerton is a treasure, such a versatile an actor. Waiting to see him win an Oscar.

I mean, wow, what the hell, Joel? Here's how this went down:
I watched The Gift which recently appeared on my Netflix. Enjoyed it! Saw the text card with "Written and Directed by Joel Edgerton" I say to myself, "Hmm that sounds familiar. Let's see what else he's done, to Google I go!"
Googled ol' Joel. First reaction: "HOLY SHIT HE'S THE CREEPY GUY FROM THE MOVIE I JUST WATCHED!" Already impressed that he acted/directed/wrote all in the same movie. Let's see his IMDB history (thinking he's mostly a director and an actor second)
Blank stare at the list of acting credits. Bright? It Comes at Night?!" what the hell, "Warrior!?!?!?"
It's been a long time since I've not noticed the same actor across multiple films, some of which were pretty good, I really enjoyed, and liked the character he portrayed. I can recall the look/body language/voice of all these different characters, and they're all distinct and different. Oh but he's Australian, so I don't even know what his real voice sounds like.
Ya got me, Joel. Nice work, I'm going to be watching for more great stuff from you.
