Off Script: How Jonathan Groff Created That King George Accent for 'Hamilton' – @crushinonsomeone on Tumblr
It only took nine minutes onstage for Jonathan Groff to make a major impression as the foppish monarch King George III in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical Hamilton. Besides spurring laughter throughout the Richard Rodgers Theater with just a lifted eyebrow, the actor also nabbed his second Tony nomination for the featured role.
Am I the only one who can't watch Jonathan Groff in the video of Hamilton?
I was in row 2 of a performance of Little Shop before Hamilton premiered on Disney+ and so I was /very/ prepared for his Hamilton scenes 😭 He sweats and spits A LOT. And he knows this 😅 “I spit a lot onstage. I’ve always been a spitter … I start sweating. I just get wet when I perform onstage. It is just what happens.” More on reddit.com
Took my mom to see Hamilton. She loved King George

There’s a reason when people see him live they lovingly warn against sitting in the “splash zone” More on reddit.com
I watched Hamilton for the first time and I didn’t know Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) was King George III
I think You'll Be Back is kind of the original Lost In The Woods. More on reddit.com

I can't handle the drool. It's just a total gross out. I have to close my eyes or cover the screen as he does his solos.

Yeah, I love Groff and I think he's a fantastic singer, but he is clearly practiced at the over-the-top stage things, not for the HD focus of the cameras! I'll listen to him any day but the video is not my favourite thing.
