EDIT: I just have a question about what I can use in my portfolio as a new writer.
My only paid experience is fiverr projects and writing for an online wellness magazine. Can I use these things on my portfolio given that they were used/published elsewhere without my name attached to them? In that case, would I sight the source where it was published in my portfolio?

Yes I have a ton of stuff with no byline on my portfolio ! I just put a little note describing my role (like…edited, Wrote intro, copy wrote for back cover etc)

If you are going for any paid platforms, I'd suggest you to invest in your own personal website. You will get a lot more control and freedom and have lot more custom features like unique design, your own blog, contact forms, custom email address, no posts or file limitations etc. There will be a one time developer fee cost but after that, in the long run, it will be cheaper than those paid platforms.

I’ve started a job search and need a portfolio. What’s a good website for creating my online portfolio that is easy to learn if I don’t know coding? Squarespace? Is there anything out there that is free but still professional? If no, I’m willing to pay a hosting fee.
I would want to mainly display links to books I’ve edited plus my writing samples (online journalism). Thanks in advance!

A basic plan is free--1 page with maybe 10 items? After that there is a cost.
