July 7, 2020 - I have jython-slim-2.7.2 and scripting-jython-1.0.0 jars installed, and had previously removed jython-shaded-2.7.1 due to an issue with the subprocess module described here. Note that the issue only appeared after removing jython-shaded. The issue is only with the log.info() method.

November 2, 2019 - Work by the Jython team has improved the dependency situation. There is now a jython-slim artifact with modular dependencies. We can use this to depend on Jython now, instead of jython-shaded.

July 4, 2020 - Update 2019-11-04: As of jython 2.7.2b2, a new artifact org.python:jython-slim now exists with proper modular dependency structure, which makes this jython-shaded project obsolete.
