1-They have the best actions imo in each tier of digital keyboard. I currently use a MP11SE as my primary digital which uses the grandfeel1 action. The Yamaha Clavinovas are no slouch either, but I would go below a clp-675. 2-CA48 I believe uses the grandfeel compact which is like the first entry into Kawai's actions that begin mimicking a grand's action. These types of actions are amazing to have. However if you are planning just to use it as a midi controller with your computer and VST as your sound I would probably put the brakes on buying something like a CA or Clavinova type piano. You are spending a lot of money on sound features you won't be using. You may instead be more interested in something like Kawai's VPC1. 3- No they are not made to be separable and come in chunks of the furniture stand. If you want something that's more portable with the grandfeel action look to their stage piano instead, mp11se (my precious). Note: Stage Pianos do not have onboard speakers. 4- Yes, but sometimes you don't have a choice. Make sure whoever you buy from has a good exchange policy for damaged goods. Digital Pianos with these realistic actions weigh a lot more and have more parts that can go wrong after being juggled in shipping. What is way more important is carefully inspecting and playing all the keys of your expensive new digital piano. Failure rates on these grandfeel/grandtouch actions are much higher than typical keyboards with standard keyboard actions especially after going through the fedex/ups juggling act. I am a huge fan of Yamaha quality. I have a P515 which was also sold out for several months but now is available again. Very authentic piano action with wooden keys (but you have to want a piano type action). Fit and finish on the Yamaha is outstanding. I like all of the voices, bluetooth, etc. Just an idea.
