This is not to hate on KBDfans, just don't do what I did.
Anyways my first keyboard was the now discontinued tofu65 2.0 for like 240 Ish dollars (pre-built and costed a fortune for me). My friends told me it was really good and I was new to keyboard, so I got it. Let me just say, for 240 dollars you could of got you like a really well built keyboard if you had the time. Moving on, when I got this keyboard a couple of weeks later, I was mad disappointed, tried every mod and new key caps (could not hot swap cuz it was soldered), but it just was really mid for $240.
Also, I went to Shenzhen city in China, where the digital malls were at and found people selling them for like half the cost but unbranded. Also pretty sure KBDfans is based in China and they just overprice it for the international shipping.

Big disagree. I bought the Tofu65v1 as my second build. It has a special place on my wall because of this. I also have a 5degree and Phase65 from KBDfans on my wall. KBDfans is an icon in the mechanical keyboard space. Way more respect to them compared to brands like GMMK and Keychron. Your issue is you bought a prebuild. You have no investment or time or care put into it. You paid more to lose the special feeling of building it yourself.

I got a Tofu 65v2 a couple of years ago, built it up with a PC plate, some PBT Fans keycaps, and some WS Aurora Blues. It has been a regular in my rotation ever since. It feels and sounds great. Nothing wrong with KBD Fans. They make good stuff and their pricing is in line with most other manufacturers in the hobby. The problem here seems to be that you ordered a soldered pre-built and didnโt like it. Because it was soldered, the only thing that you could change was the key caps. Lessons learned: donโt order soldered and probably donโt order pre-built unless you know that the switches, keycaps, and plate option are going to be aligned with your preferences.
