This isn't a KDE problem. You can find your distro forums and ask. If you're new to Linux, it's much better to use a more mainstream Linux distro such as Fedora KDE, Opensuse, Kubuntu etc. Answer from hrbutt180 on reddit.com

r/kde on Reddit: where is the task manager/system monitor?
July 9, 2024 -

I'm sorry if this is actually a distro specific and not a KDE issue.

I'm trying a live iso of a distro called CachyOS (cachyos.org), which is an Arch based distro, very similar to EndeavourOS with some tweaks. I wanted to install this on a desktop pc and want to make sure everything is detected etc.

It boots into Plasma 6. When I try to search for system monitor/task manager/sysguard etc I find nothing. There's no 'system about' I can find either. I then tried to search for ksysguard using the package manager, and there were a bunch of entries (its the AUR so I guess there are git versions too) and saw ksysgyard6, but it didn't install.

Like I said, if this is not a KDE issue, then sorry, but please let me know what I can install now.

Find elsewhere

November 13, 2025 -

Not sure if this is the best sub to ask in, but i was thinking maybe KDE since maybe there is a widget for it?

The Picture is from my old PC when i ran windows on it, i used to use Aida64, but im pretty sure that doesn't work on Linux, besides it was crazy resource intensive.

A TUI could also look cool as a system monitor, so feel free to suggest!
