r/CoreKeeperGame on Reddit: Is the nintendo switch version worth it?
January 3, 2025 -

Hello, this game is on sale on nintendo store and i was wondering if it is worth it on nintendo switch version, can i play coop online with people playing on PC or other consoles? Is it running good on switch? What about loading screens and stuff like that? Is the game going to have updates on switch until when? I tried to find a website for this game but i couldnt find anything besides a twitter account, do they only communicate with the playerbase through twitter?

I have it on both switch and PC and here’s my take: Pros: Portable Melee combat feels good Summoning feels good Cons: No cross saves between platforms Ranged combat feels terrible Building and placing objects feels terrible Inventory management is an absolute nightmare. No button mapping I would say if you really love the game, have lots of time to kill or you prefer to play in bed/are traveling, it’s good to pick it up. The loose, frustrating object placement and building and inventory management turns what on PC would be a simple task of seconds into lengthy tasks of minutes. Expect the game to take 2 or even 3 times as long to progress because of this. The no button mapping is absolutely infuriating and I cannot understand why it isn’t an option. Your attack and building buttons are the L and R triggers. You also can’t map a Potion button so an any time you take dangerous amounts of damage you have to scroll through your skills to the potion slot while you run around trying not to die. All said and done I’ve enjoyed my time with it but I did the bulk of my playing over 2 weeks on holiday vacation and missed playing on PC, where the game was designed for. Maybe wait for a sale? Idk.

Delighted with my purchase(s). This one's a real... keeper 😏 ... Thanks for the review, this game has piqued my interest ever since the first time I saw it (don't remember where though) and while I don't know when I'll have the time to play it I'll eventually get it for sure and regardless, glad to hear it's so good! ... Super glad this was reviewed. I was worried the Switch ... You just have to see them for yourself. Coming in the current moment, as Microsoft struggles with its Xbox business and has just hiked the price of Game Pass, makes Keeper feel awkwardly timed. I generally steer clear of talking about commerce or business considerations in reviews, preferring ... Keeper is strange. This may seem unsurprising given that it's the latest game from developer Double Fine, which has for years carried itself with a distinct oddball identity, but Keeper is unusual even by the studio's standards. It doesn't fit cleanly into a traditional genre, and at some points feels

Keeper is absolutely worth playing, but not necessarily because of its gameplay. A frustrating fixed camera, a frequent sense of aimlessness, and a general lack of intention behind your actions all combine to diminish interactivity and engagement.

There’s no narrative justification for the world suddenly behaving in such strange and unusual ways. Chalk it up to the same mystical nature of the lighthouse’s revival, I guess, but the most hippy dippy elements are easily the game’s weakest. In a game without words, it’s imperative to get the music right and Keeper’s soundtrack is up to the challenge.

Metaverse Keeper Review (Nintendo Switch) - LadiesGamers
January 11, 2021 - Playing together is no doubt what makes Metaverse Keeper stand out from other games in the rogue-lite genre. If your buddy falls you can sacrifice some of your life to revive them · The game has come to Switch while still in early access on PC. While it appears the Switch release has been updated it didn’t stop me encountering multiple bugs which certainly hindered my enjoyment of the experience. When playing in local co-op it was common for one of us to get stuck in the doorway entrance to a new room.

Stunning Sandbox Survival 'Core Keeper' Is Digging Up A Switch 2 Edition Next Year | Nintendo Life
2 weeks ago - It gives you quite a bit of freedom to choose how you explore and live in the cave. The game is unfortunately a bit shallow and repetitive, especially in the late game, so I don’t see myself returning despite the Switch 2 upgrade.
