I've played the game but never finished. The switch version has most of the dlc and will not be getting the rest, so it is missing some plot. The story wasn't super strong to begin with, but the gameplay is fun. Granted it does get pretty grindy early on, and I've read that's an issue late game too. I wanted to really like it, it's basically stardew but with corpses! But it doesn't have the magic other farming sims have. There just isn't much story or as much to physically explore in comparison to similar games. Most of the focus of the game seems to be crafting, gathering, and managing. Also loading times can be long, but that's just a minor annoyance.

I liked even though it’s pretty grindy, but on the dlc I run into a game breaking bug that the devs have been aware for for years and haven’t fixed (there are several game breaking bugs), so I wouldn’t recommend it

Keeper is a wonderful, beautiful game with a pretty good story and really fun mechanics. I'm seeing a lot of reviews on Xbox saying it's bad walking sim and just complaining about game pass prices these people are idiots game. Press prices doesn't affect the quality of this specific game. Just because you don't like game pass prices doesn't mean you need to lower the rating of this game. Yes, it is a walking SIM that is the whole point of the game. That's what people come to this game for if that is not for you, don't play this game, it is a very slow Pace walk in the park art style game rather than your classic action shooter. People are getting it. Bad reviews for not having enough action. It is not meant to have action.

I didn't like the first hour and gave up. The day after I gave it another chance and it got sooo much better. I don't know why they made the beginning so uninvolved

It feels as though its made to be experienced on mushrooms. Fantastic eyecandy a real treat. Nothing to frustrate or hinder a player just pure enjoyment of this world and creation. Reminded me of the also brilliant The Artful Escape, which originated from an Australian music band realising that noone buys or listens to albums anymore and instead learned to code and made this eye and ear candy instead. If you loved Keeper this one is also for you.
