Hey Reddit!
I was wondering if there were any decent 3D models or technical drawings for a 60% keyboard frame? I am curious about designing my own 60% keyboard with my CNC but not sure where to begin with the frame specifics or anything about building custom keyboards in general. I've never seen a 60% keyboard in person, but I am looking for a smaller keyboard. I currently have a Das Keyboard 4 with MX Blues and love it! I am just curious about possibly building my own keyboard and figured you guys could help!

Hi, I'm a little new to this and I have some questions:
1 - I can't seem to find any 60% mechanical keyboards being sold with a wooden frame. I'm guessing everyone just builds one themselves?
2 - I'm guessing that I can change the keycaps regardless of the keyboard? Or are the keycaps dependant on the switches/etc?
Just FYI: My goal is the following:
- Wooden frame
- 60% layout
- Cherry MX silent red switches
- Beautiful keycaps with pastel-like colours that ideally look like these: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-mito-canvas-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Wood cases are widely available.
As far as the caps go, you can try r/mechmarket. Aliexpress will have caps and cases, so you could try and find something there that suits your taste.
Woodkeys.click carries 4 different kinds of 60% cases, in addition to many other cool things.
