Geek Question - Where in Cbus can I try out some Mechanical Keyboards?
Where to buy keycaps?
have stock to ship quickly.
Might be good to mention your country, but in terms of fast shipping, Amazon is going to be hard to beat. Most sets are for a normal keyboard so will come with a lot of longer keys you won't be able to use, just make sure you're getting enough 1u keycaps (edit: and enough of each row profile you're looking for if you buy something with multiple profiles depending on the row).

I've been meaning to get a mechanical keyboard for awhile - but I would really like to actually get my hands on some different types to see which one is right for me.
Micro Center carries the Cherry MX Reds - but nothing else.
Is there anywhere in Cbus that I can try out different types of mechanical keyboards? (I would like to try the Cherry line, but if there are others around the city - that would be fine, too).
Does anyone know?
I just started working from home and decided this would be the best time to get into an ErgoMech like I've always wanted. I'm likely going to start with a Sofle v2 but I'm just not sure where to start looking for keycaps. To start my priority would be to find someplace that will likely have stock to ship quickly to the US.
Thanks!!!

If you arent sure on a specific type or style, the XVX Profile keycaps on amazon/aliexpress are pretty solid for their price point(20-30$), tbh hard to beat the price:quality. you want the double shot sets, not the shine through ones though, the sky dolch-ish set is nice imo.
Otherwise check out the usual keeb places.
https://cannonkeys.com/ - these guys have a good selection of mid to high end caps, their in house designs are decent and quality is fine usually.
Epomaker/Akko/Ajazz has some cheaper /totally not knockoff/ designs that you can snag off amazon usually, though there is a lag between their launches and amazon supply.
Most of the random keycaps on Amazon are dropshipped stock from chinese knockoffs/clones of GMK or other group buy sets - not that they are horrific quality for the money, but be aware that you probably arent buying a legit GMK set if its off amazon unless its from the offical Drop amazon vendor account. They mostly no longer do not claim to be legit, but sometimes newer vendors will before they get smacked by amazon. Anything that claims to be DSA or SA is probably also not legit (though there are some Maxkey SA vendors on amazon i think), double-triple check before you buy something that looks like a high end keycap set on amazon.
If you can stand waiting 2-3 weeks you can get cheap knockoff/clone sets from Aliexpress, most popular GB designs from the last couple of years are available as clones. Quality on these sets varies wildly.
